[Diptyque] Tam Dao EDP. When I tried this on, my boyfriend asked if I had lit some incense. This is woody but not harsh, very calming.
[Diptyque] Philosykos perfume solid. My family had a fig tree in the backyard growing up… this is it. It's creamier than Benamor's Figo Fogo, which elevates the scent — it's not just "any fig tree", but THE fig tree romanticized in my memory. They know what they're doing! I don't mind the low sillage (this would be cloying if any stronger); just wish the longevity were better for the price.
[Diptyque] L'Eau Papier perfume solid. Blind bought this because I read it smells exactly like cooked rice... I disagree. On me it just reads as sweet paper. The contrast between the sweet (like a whiff of fruit skin) & paper (dry and robust) was initially jarring. If this were any stronger it may have been cloying. But sitting close to the skin, the interaction is abstractly elegant. On dry-down the paper fades away and leaves just the sweetness on the skin. This could be a special occasion scent any season, but especially spring and autumn.
[Cardinal Scents] Girl Crush perfume oil. Read like a sweet milky latte, combined with a punchy skin-scent. The "warm skin" note was what threw me off; not unpleasant but also not me.
[Cardinal Scents] Grass Roots perfume oil. Was SO photorealistic dry grass to me and smelled great in the bottle. But my skin brought out this stringent fresh-cut-grass / bug-spray note that I didn't love.
[Cardinal Scents] Familiar Spirit perfume oil. Better and better as it goes on, dries down to a comforting skin scent. Someone else wrote "gauzy", and that made me think "bandaid", which now I can't unsmell… but the creaminess of the milk smoothes over the bandaid note and it ends up quite soft and nostalgic.
[Benamor] Figo Fogo EDC. Sampled this at the Lisbon airport. Oh figs, figs, figs. This evoked childhood memories for me and put me on the search for fig scents.
[Clue Perfumery] The Point EDP. On first spray, like sea breeze with jasmine. Gradually mellows out until it smells distinctly watery (not watered-down). Refreshing whenever I catch a whiff. Good longevity.
[Clue Perfumery] With the Candlestick EDP.
[Clue Perfumery] Warm Bulb EDP.
[Clue Perfumery] Morel Map EDP. Dirt, it is dirt. I love it. All the reviews are right. If you want to smell like taking a hike after last night's rain, the kind where you need to scrub your shoes with grass after to rid them of soil - this is it.
[Hermes] Terre d'Hermes EDT.
[Imaginary Authors] The Soft Lawn 2.0 EDP. Light florals cut through by grassiness; reminds me of a well-manicured golf course in a nice neighborhood. It is green, but in a tame, crisp way - refined and a bit sporty. Good for spring and summer, with strong sillage and longevity.
[Jeffrey Dame] Soliflore Osmanthus perfume oil.
[Jeffrey Dame] Peach Blossom, Violet & Vanilla EDT.
[Comme Des Garcons] Series 4 Cologne: Vettiveru EDC.
[Imaginary Authors] Telegrama EDP.
[Imaginary Authors] Saint Julep EDP.
